cannot find in RUN

I get a message cannot find file or one of the compents is
missing when I type MSCONFIG or anything similar at RUN.
It works fine when I type CLPBRD, but the diagnosis things
seem to be lost somewhere...

Any ideas?

THANKS,

TK

MSConfig is definitely not included in W2K, which then prompts me to ask,
was the W2K installation a downgrade from WinME?

Well that would certainly answer that dumb question. I
think there are some programs or diagnostics that are
started from RUN in 2k, right. Isn't there one for DX or
something.

The usual method for solving such puzzles is to use the Windows
"search" function, to find out if a file called "msconfig.exe" exists
on your hard disk, and where it might be.

As others have pointed out, msconfig.exe is not included with
Windows 2000. However, you can download it from here:

Place it into c:\winnt\system32.

It was a clean install from WIN2K disks.

MSCONFIG is not part of Win 2000 although can be added.

Unzip the files and place them in your system path

You kidding right? WinMe is the worst and most unnecessary
OS MS has released in well over a decade. I still regard
Win2k as the best MS OS to date, at least 'til I get a better
impression of XP's SP2.

Nope, not kidding. Me was created after W2K. Therefore downgrading to W2K is
not supported. Which is why i called it a downgrade.

Do i beleive that W2K is better? By a landslide(at the very least). W2K and
its network architecture are both revolutionary and brilliant. Thats why i'm
certified for both Pro and Server editions. While not even bothering
certification on the Win9x based clients.
