cannot find data in archived files

I archived files multiple times in Outlook 2002/Office XP before restoring my
computer. Access was denied when I opened archive .pst files. I followed
instructions found here and copied the archive file to hard drive in the
Documents Folder. I used File>Open>ODF to open the archive files. It seems to
open the file but I see no data. Archive files is added to my folder list but
not all the folders that I archived. I can still see the Folders under
Outlook Today Personal Files. But no data from multiple archives. Am I doing
something wrong?

the pst file is probably read-only, right click on it/properties/ uncheck the
read-only box. This happens when a file is burned to a CD, it becomes
read-only, and when you copy it off the CD it is still read-only.
