Cannot enable hibernation in Win XP Pro

I just reinstalled XP after changing out my motherboard. On the hibernate tab
I cannot check to box as it will answer: "Power Policy Manager unable to
reserve the hibernate file" "The process cannot access the file because it is
being used by another process"

I have tried disabling every process running with no success. I cannot find
what process is using the file. I also do not know what file it is talking
about.

Any help would be great.

Hi,

Have you installed the drivers from the motherboard CD yet? The loss or lack
of hibernate is usually because not all system devices have a supporting
driver in place.

Yes, all drivers installed. I have since completely reinstalled Windows again
and this time hibernate option is available. I still don't know what caused
this to disappear. Anyway, thanks for your help.
