Cannot email fromWord 2007. No profile created in Controlpanel???

I am trying to email from within Office Word 2007. I get the message: No
profiles have been created. To create new profile, use the Mail icon in the
Control Panel. I go into control panel, etc., and get no place in which to
create a profile. What do I do now???

So... in Control Panel, there is no Mail object? Is this Windows XP or
Vista?
