Hi Jaypee, lots of possible things to check. Did you ...

.... copy the file to the local hard drive before editing?
.... disable Norton's Office plug-in?
.... upgrade from office 2002 (XP) to 2003 recently?
.... download OrgChart 2.0 as the KB article suggested?

You said you visited http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00236.htm

You need to step through all those troubleshooting options. You can disable
the Norton Office plug-in using the instructions found on that page. If it
works, great. If you don't have Norton (Symantec) AntiVirus, it won't hurt
anything.

And if that doesn't work, you need to do the other appropriate
troubleshooting steps listed for whichever item is causing the error
message. (I can't tell if you're having problems with a data chart or with
an organization chart.)
