Cannot create the network

hi, i've to pc's with windowx xp pro installed, both with sp2. when i run the
entwork assitance in pc1 it last a lot, but it finish. in pc2 it doens't last
so much. when i try to acess to pc2 from pc1 i cannot see the network, but
sometimes i do, but i can't to get in pc2. i0ve the same problem in pc2. does
anybody knows what can happen?? i also try to manually configure my network,
stablishing pc1 with 192.168.0.1 and a subnet mask 255.255.255.0, and pc2
with 192.168.0.2 with the same subnet mask. even the are in the same
workgroup. but once i try to access to that workgroup it doesn't exist.

One of the most common causes of this problem would be a misconfigured or
overlooked personal firewall, but there are other possibilities too.

If no help yet, provide "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" from each
computer, so we can diagnose the problem. Read this article, and linked
