"Cannot Copy" from Win2k to XP Pro

Hi...

Just installed XP Pro on an old PC... want to learn XP before committing...
but am running into "simple/annoying" problems that I suspect most solved
2-3 years back.

First thing I'd like some help on is... my laptop is running Win2000 Pro and
it's working fine in a Network Neighborhood (of 3 Win98se PCs)... the Win2k,
3-98se and the XP machine are all connected to a HUB/ROUTER/Cable Network...
all can get on the web and all can be seen in Network Neighborhood.

I went to XP's "User Account" and created an account for my laptop... using
the SAME UserID/Password as on laptop. Then went to "My Computer",
right-clicked on C: and went thru the "Sharing and Security" (and Network
Wizard) to enable full "Network Sharing and Security". My laptop nows "logs
on" and I can PULL a file but I cannot SEND a file (W2k->XP). I'm getting
"Cannot copy <filename>: Access is denied. The source file may be in use".

Anyone have an idea of what I didn't do?? I can send/receive files between
any of the 2k/98 PCs... including 2 printers!

Thanks in advance
Steve
