Cannot connect to wireless network after windows update

B

Brad

I did a windows update last night and now I cannot
connect to the wireless network. When I do an "ipconfig"
it says

Ethernet adapter wireless network connection:
Media State . . . . . . . .: Media Disconnected

I have the wireless card plugged in and the it sees my
wireless router but it still says "media disconnected."
I have released the Ip and renewed the IP and I still get
nothing.

Can anyone help?? (e-mail address removed)

You probably have an integrated network interface on the
mother board along with the wireless card. You may see it
under network connections along with your wireless
connection. You need to disable the integrated interface.
Best to disable it in the BIOS and it won't even appear.
Boot to the BIOS (F2 or F10) and follow screen
instructions for disabling integrated network interface.

Good Luck!
