Cannot connect to Internet but Ping/Nslookup works

Hi All,

I am using a wireless broadband connection using cable modem + router
provided by ISP. I'm totally bumped as this worked fine for another laptop
using the same connection.

1. Wireless is up and PC is connected to it.
2. Ping / Nslookup for sites like google.com etc. works.
3. Can't do any http using IE (tried with both firewall on & off).
4. ******* Cannot Ping IP address assigned by DHCP server *******

C:\WINDOWS>ping 192.168.1.100
Pinging 192.168.1.100 with 32 bytes of data:
Request timed out.
Ping statistics for 192.168.1.100:
Packets: Sent = 1, Received = 0, Lost = 1 (100% loss),
Control-C
^C

When I start IE, I get an cannot open error (I can't even open my router's
admin page)

Some details about the setup:

I can ping localhost (127.0.0.1), the gateway(192.168.1.1) and servers like
google.com, yahoo.com etc. successfully.
But ping to machine ip (192.168.1.100 in this case) - times out.

I will post ifconfig/all output soon (currently in office).

Thanks William.
