Cannot connect Remote Desktop from LAN

T

Tink

I have my home computer set up to host the connection. I tested the
connection from my mobile phone and I can connect.

However, when I try to connect from my work computer with the exact same
settings. I get the message that the computer is busy (etc.). I tested
(again) the connection from my mobile and it worked between attempts from my
work computer.

I cannot telnet to my home computer from work LAN computer.

Could it be that my work computer is trying to find a computer on the LAN at
the IP address that I'm using? If that's the case, is there a way around it?
If that's not likely the case, what else could be stopping me?

Its possible your work network admins have blocked TCP Port 3389 outgoing as
a security measure. If this is a legitimate work related activity I would
check with them for help. Otherwise you may be out of luck.
