Cannot change registry

I made scan with Registry Crawler of the registry and got an error code
2 on following keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\??
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\System
I tried to delete or rename these 2 entries but got an error message
"impossible rename (delete) this key"
Actually I never noticed any problem with my Win2000, but I would like
to delete these keys (unless they should be needed by Windows)
The scan for viruses was negative.
Any suggestion?

I forgot to mention that a scan with AccessEnum (by Sysinternals) tells
that these 2 keys have an invalid handle.
What should I do?

Probably nothing. Unless you have some compelling reason to do so it's best
to leave the registry intact. Registry "cleaners" usually do more damage
than good.
