Even if I set Iexplorer and OUTLOOK as default programs every time I launch
them a message that they aren't the default ones appears. Tried to disable
NOD32 Smart security and UAC but nothing changes.
Problem appeared since 2 weeks but I really can't find out what happened.
The curious thing is that if I select something and: right click --> send to
email recipient.....it shows me outlook composing mail page!!

I read quite all other posts about same problem and I say: can be a problem
in READING settings from registry and not in WRITING them?
Thanks

I had this problem a couple of weeks ago, I suspect after a windows update.

Go to start > default programs > set program access and computer defaults >
custom and make sure your defaults are set correctly - not just "use
current" but click on IE and outlook themselves.

That solved mine.

UAC and NOD IMO have nothing to do with it.

Do you have any other web browser installed? If you're using 3rd party
browser such as Opera or Firefox check if it's not checking the default
browser. The same thing is about email client.

Yes, I have 3rd party browser (opera) but it has never been my default
browser by my choiche. I checked just to be sure.

Ando no, I only have outlook installed as mail client (well, there is vista
windows mail but I never used it)

I'm quite sure the problem is related to the registry, maybe in conjuntion
with some win update or sw installation but I'm not able to figure out what
has happened!!

As far as web browser is concerned try to reset IE settings:
Internet options -> Advanced -> Reset...
If you're talking about MS Office Outlook try to repair Office Suite
installation.
