Cannot align text in a textbox vertically - Word 2007

doesn't repro here, sorry: I can set Word to use Drawing Canvases (which
I rarely do ), then insert an AutoShape and a text box, and add text
to both. I can align text in both of them (middle, bottom, etc.).

Has this document been created in an earlier version and/or is it in
compatibility mode, in *.doc?
