Cannot access file after PCrebuilt

I played with "Encrypt Content.."on folders and files and got some turned on.
It was time to rebuilt my PC. I backup-ed my PC(AA) with:

Start-> Programs->accessories->System Tools->backup to another PC(BB)

Rebuilt my PC(AA), with the exact userid and password.

After rebuilt done, restore files back to AA. Everything looks great. I
could see those folders and files, even with the right size. But I could not
open it.

I got "user does not have access previlege..."

I un-encrypted the folders successfully.
I tried to un-encrypted, I got " error applying attributes to file.."

Don;t forget , I have the EXACT userid and password, before and after....

I tried to Add and Delete user from Access to file list.. It did not work...

Need help...

PS. both AA and BB are Win/XP.

Just using the same userid/password don't get it with Windows encryption -
what you need is the encryption certificate from the profile that originally
encrypted the files or from the designated recovery agent (provided you
designated one) before you rebuilt PC(AA). If your backup does not contain
at least one of these certificate(s), then my friend, your files are as good
as lost - there is no backdoor or the encryption scheme would be worth what
it took to develop it.

Hi

If you didn't export the encryption keys before the reinstall, you
have a problem.

If you can restore (from a backup) the user profile folders for the
user that encrypted the files and if you remember the password for
the user that encrypted the data, you might be able to save the files.

Take a look at this site for more details:

If the your encryption certificates and keys were not backed up
before the user deletion/creation caused by the reinstallation, and
the workstation isn't part of a domain, I'm afraid that those files
are gone, for all practical purposes. Encryption works well and
there is no "back door" or hack to access the files. (Wouldn't be much
point to EFS if it were vulnerable.)
