Cannot access encrypted files.

Suddenly I cannot access my encrypted files. I have not formatted or
reinstalled anything. I accessed them about four hours ago, and since then I
updated Napster software (can't see how that would affect anything). Just
happened. Running XP. Restored using SR to yesterday. No good. Can anyone
help?

Use your backed up Encryption Key/Certificate..

Did you happen to "reset" your password as that can cause you to loose
access until the password is changed back to what it was. Also try running
Check Disk on your computer and make sure you have full control permissions
to the folder where your encrypted files are located in case that was
changed somehow. --- Steve

Not unless someone remembers or has it documented somewhere. Depending on
your situation there may be a Recovery Agent for your encrypted files but
this normally happens if the computer is a member of an Active Directory
domain. You can check by looking at properties/advanced - details of an EFS
encrypted file.
