"Cancel" buttons

One last question for the board:

On my nifty lil' form, I've got two buttons. An "okay" button which works
mahhhvelously, and a "cancel" button which wouldn't work to save my life.

Could someone tell me the quick and painless steps to making a cancel
button? Like, if I click in the toolbar to make a command button, and I
place it in the bottom...then what? The form's name is "frmJelom" if anyone
must know. Thank you!

You don't tell us what you want to 'cancel'?

What is happening that you want to stop?

Oh, my bad, man.

I want a standard "Cancel" button, you know, the kind that closes out the
form and does nothing else. Like, if you got a popup and you clicked
"Cancel" and it just goes away and does no harm. That kind of cancel button.

But what is the "nothing else" that you don't want to happen? To close the
form you simply need...

DoCmd.Close

If you want any changes the user might have made while in the form to be
"cancelled" then that is another issue entirely. Access automatically saves
when you leave a record to go to another record or when you close the form
as well as a few other places. Is it your intention that ALL changes to ALL
records be cancelled or do you just want to close the form?
