Can you move personal calendar item to a sharepoint calendar

I have figured out how to move items from sharepoint calendars to my personal
calendar. But cannot do the reverse. Why would a sharepoint not allow a
personal item? If a person is planning in reverse you would think that with
the correct permissions they should be able to drag a personal event onto a
sharepoint for planning.

The current version of Sharepoint has one-way sync. The next version of
Outlook and Sharepoint will offer two-way sync.

This is by design. What you see in Outlook is merely a replica of what's in your SharePoint list. There's no live link between the two. To add new items, you'll need to access the SharePoint list in your browser.

I think you can expect better SharePoint integration in future versions as Microsoft deprecates Exchange public folders.
