Why do I have to press Ctrl-Alt-Del to be able to select the Lock
Computer option? Is there a way for me to do this using the mouse,
without having to press C-A-D?

You can create a shortcut with this command line, then click
it with your mouse:

rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation

Or if the issue is just avoiding the extra steps of the
3-finger salute, then selecting "Lock Workstation",
then Windows-Key + L is a fast shortcut. I use it all
the time.
