Can you home network using one computer with multiple keyboards, moniters, mice

Is it possible to have one computer in a home network that everyone
can use?

For example: the one computer would be centrally located in the
house and then the kitchen would have just a moniter, keyboard and
mouse. Then the master bedroom would have just a moniter, keyboard
amd mouse and maybe the basement as well etc.

Very possible but maybe not economically feasible for a home network. What
you are looking for is called a thin client or Terminal Server solution.

Take a look at www.wyse.com. They provide a full range of Terminal Server
solutions.

The cost issue with this type of solution is it requires an investment in
server software and you'll see that many of the terminal cost very close to
a cheap PC. This type of system really pays off when you are talking
hundreds of terminals.

Once you've paid the price for the TS solution you could have just put
computers in a hand full of rooms and used one as a central server to store
all your files on.
