Can you get Outlook to search email most current first?

When searching emails, the search goes from oldest to newest. It is more
likely that you need the last one you sent/received. Is there any way to
change this?

It takes a long time to search through a year of emails!

No, you cannot change this but you can install an indexing addin such as
Windows Desktop Search. This makes searching go much faster and then it will
search new items first.
