Can we use ViewSonic N2000 LCDTV as PC monitor?

I'm buying a LCD monitor for both computing and TV viewing (small
apartment small space). Viewsonic says its 20 inch N2000 has a VGA
input. But with its optimum resolution at 640x480, is it practical to
use it as a computer monitor? If you've bought one and tried it out,
let me know your opinion.

Meanwhile, Samsung 192MP seems to be a good choice to me on this aspect.
It's one inch less, but it has a resolution of 1280 x 1024. But its
response time is 25ms. ViewSonic N2000 has a response time of 16ms.
Hard to pick.

You do not want to use an LCD TV as a monitor. You can use an LCD monitor as
a TV, since the native resolution is much higher. Response times of 22-25ms
are typical of this size TFT monitor.

The 20" Iiyama PLE511S-W has a 16ms response time. It may be worth looking
at.

Using any kind of TV as a monitor is a very bad idea. They typically can't
handle the refresh rates most people use, and will only support, as you already
know, very low resolutions. Text is usually unreadable, even on decent tv
screens.

You would be far better getting a regular LCD monitor, and using it as a TV,
either buying one with a tv tuner, or buying a tv card for your computer.
