Can we put a Win98 HD in an XP machine?

We need to transfer 13Gb data to a XPPro machine, from a
Win98 machine.
Is it possible for us to put the Win98 hard drive into
the XP machine as a slave drive, and then just copy the
data over from the Win 98 slave to the XP master?

Thanks in advance.

Yep, it should work, as long as the hard drive still works.

It would be easier to put the Win 98 drive on the secondary IDE controller.
Unplug the CD-Rom (DVD) and connect the drive.

If you connect on the primary IDE, be sure to change the jumper to slave.

Of course. Just make sure you jumper the drives correctly.
