Can user SID remain same, when the user is migrated to another domain.

I have configured 2 machines as a domain controller. Both
machines have Windows 2000 Advanced Server (in native
mode). First domain controller machine name is acme.com
and second dc name is mis.acme.com. The relation (trust)
between the two machine is Parent - Child .
Can you please tell me when i migrate a user with the help
of active directory migration tool ver 2.0 from acme.com
domain (parent) to mis.acme.com domain (child) , whether
the migrated user's SID should be changed or not?

sidhistory function.
