Can U delete $WIN_NT$.~BT in an upgrade?

I have an older computer that I upgraded from W98SE to
W2000 Pro. (Didn't have bios type drivers etc fro a clean
install) Upgrade went fine. Now I was wondering if
anyone knows if I can delete the first folder on the c:\
drive labeled $WIN_NT.~BT It certainly looks like a temp
folder.

Also I now have two windows folders -

C:\windows

C:\WINNT

Can the C:\windows folder go too? I have an image to
restore from but rather than guessing, I was hoping
someone might have an idea of what will work. Thx for any
responses. Doug

Those are the temp files used during install, the boot files actually. You
should be able to delete them if you want to and not have any issues, I
would however make a backup of your data just in case.
