After weeks of struggling with my new Outlook and Vista systems, I finally
logged on to this discussion group today. I've tried to read all of the
emails to get the answer to Matt's question below, but I seemed to have
missed it. So, please excuse me from repeating a question that has already
been asked, but here it is. Several people are sending me emails that I am
not receiving on my new system. Interestingly enough, I receive several spam
emails, but some individual emails from friends are not getting through.
What the heck is going on? Does anyone know how I can correct this? I saw
something in this discussion about creating a new user name and keeping the
same account, but I just can't figure out how that would help. Thanks much.

Did you try my last suggestion to Matt (try a different email program)?
I say this only to prove to yourself that the problem lies not in
Vista's Windows Mail.

Email is a 'best effort' protocol, there is no guarantee that it
always will go through. That said, did the friends who
unsuccessfully tried to send to you get a bounce or non-delivery
notice? If you send an email to yourself, does it arrive?
