Can not view items in the sent items folder.

I have an employee that is running MSO 2003 and is unable to view sent
messages in his sent items folder. While he was working in outlook all the
messages "disappeard" out of the sent items folder yet it still says there
are 5480 messages in this folder. We are using Exchange 2003 for our e-mail.
Would the fact that there are so many e-mails in this folder be the problem?

Turn on the Advanced Toolbar and check what View this person is looking
at.
