Can not Turn Off computer

I am unable to Turn Off my computer using the normal
sequence: Start/Turn Off Computer/Turn Off (or Restart or
Standby). After selecting Turn off button, the menu goes
away and I am back to normal. The can repeat this sequence
again and again. The same happens when selecting Shut Down
from the Task Manager window. The only way to shut down is
to physically power-off my desktop.

Hello John!!,

I am also experiencing the same problem! This started
for me on 11/11/03! I cannot get my computer to shutdown
unless I physically shut it down myself also? I wonder
if others are also having this problem? Pls advise if
you find a way to get our computers back to shutting
down/turning off normally! Thanks!! Gary
