Outlook 2000 was perfect until the upgrade from xp to vista. Now we can not
copy any files into outlook and outlook can not locate the address book or
wab.dll. Contacts are fine but the address book is not working at all. Can
not perform very many functions due to this occuring error of can not locate
wab.dll

did you find your information?? The .pst files are hidden and need to be
unhidden in order to move them. You will also need to move your wab.dll
files. There are two of them - wab32.dll and wab32res.dll. Move from
programfiles/commonfiles/system to windows/system32. I had to copy not move
them.

Well done Elaine. That worked perfectly. I moved the wab files and all is
fine.

All the doom-mongers on the other threads seem to think that, just because
we have upgraded to Vista we should throw everything else away and spend even
more money on Microsoft buying 2007 versions of everything.

Do let us know how well and how long your Outlook 2000 IMO address book
works after copying these files.

I copied the two files into c:\windows\system32 and opened my *.pst. I am
still trying to figure out how to get my address book. I suppose I could keep
my addresses in Windows Mail. Vista is another MS blunder

Outlook 2000 was a bigger blunder 7 yrs ago... better is to switch to
Vista's mail and calendar if you are unwilling to upgrade. You'll have a
much better experience all around.
