Can not Find Format Painter

I have two computers, both use outlook 2003 11.6359.6360 sp1

On one computer I have a button called "format painter" and I love it. On
the other computer it seems to be impossible to find the format painter. I
have the standard toolbar selected and have looked in the drop down menu at
the end of the existing toolbar but that button does not exist in the list!

Is is possible that the format painter is not available because I have an
older version of Microsoft Word that does not match with the newer version of
Outlook? I suspect this may be the case because there are other features
that do not work either, like mail merge, but that is expected because that
operation clearly would involve both Microsoft Word and Outlook working
together.

Any ideas how to find or install format painter?

Format painter is a part of Word. If you have mismatched versions of
Outlook and Word on the machine where you cannot find it, this is the
reason. As you noted, versions must match.
