Can not copy CD's to Computer???

For some strange reason I can no longer Copy Music Cd's to my computer? it
seems to proceed as normal and looks like it is copying but about 10 times
faster... as soon as you take out the cd everything disappears. I have tried
this with new and old cd's thinking it may have been new cd's with anti copy
on them but this is not the problem...please help

What app are you using to copy, Windows Explorer or a 3rd party app
like Roxio or Nero? Are you using Copy & Paste, or WMP's Rip or Burn
features? Without this info, responses are to a nil.

I am using Windows XP Media Center. I am trying to copy cd's to the media
center music Library. In the past I was able to copy my cd's to the media
center library. I can select copy cd and then it asks if I would like to add
the cd to the music library and I say yes. It then appears as if it is
copying...little spinning circle to the right of the song but it happens 10
times faster then it normaly should....in addition it does not copy the CD.
once you take the cd out of the drive the cd disapears from the media center
library.?? I have used Windows Explorer music converter recently to change
music to MP3 format for my daughters MP3 player...is this possibly
interfering?? Any help would be appreaciated. Thanks

Reboot your PC and then try it again.
