What error message are you seeing?

Note you need Vista SP1 to install Windows Search 4 {the final released
version of SP1, not one of the pre-release versions}.

You have not yet determined if you have SP1 installed.

Control Panel (Classic view with all the icons)

Programs and Features

View Installed Updates (in the left panel)

Look for: Service Pack for Microsoft Windows (KB936330)

If you see it, you have SP1 installed.

If you don't, it's not installed.

Yes, i have the Service Pack for Microsoft Windows (KB936330) installed from
the instruction you provided below.

It is also strange to see that i also saw the Windows Search 4.0 appeared in
the installed updates (left panel)

Can you help??

Are you sure it's installed? Check to see if it's listed as the
installation failed.

If it says 4.0 is installed, then you don't have a problem! You were
trying to install it and couldn't... right?

It shows installed in the Control Panel - Proprams and Features - Installed
Updates, not a installation failed. Unfortunately i could not be able to
attch the screen capture to show you.
But i still could not be able to find the install Windows Search thru Start
- all program in the start menu.

Yes, you are right.
