Can MS listen to customers?

Don't bait me.

I tried it.. the first result is without quotation marks

Results 1 - 10 of about 8,330,000 for remove Internet Explorer XP. (0.18
seconds)

This one is with quotation marks

Results 1 - 4 of about 162 for "remove Internet Explorer XP". (1.07 seconds)

Now, I took the liberty of going to some of the hits, and sure enough,
Internet Explorer is a Microsoft product.. but what has the amount of hits
gotten to do with Microsoft?..

I know there was a version of Windows 98 that worked without IE. I think
MS lost a lawsuit somewhere in Europe & was required to make IE
removable under court order.

Google "ieradicator". I used it back when I was running 98. There were
some things built in to IE that interfered with Netscape. Ieradicator
removed them along with IE.

Haven't looked for it for XP since I have a couple of sites I need to
regularly visit that won't respond properly to Netscape or mozilla based
browsers. Don't think the sites work with Safari either.

So I keep IE onboard simply for visiting those sites.

To paraphrase Shakespeare in honour of Gerry, "Please, sir, you damn
him with faint praise." I get it. I'll watch my top knot whenever "No
one I know"/Bob I is in the vicinity. You know how those people get
when they've had a few. How many fingers am I holding up, Bobby? Right.
Just one.

You really are a"twit".

ROFL!!! Again with the sarcasm! Stop it. You're killing me! I don't
care who you are, now, that's funny. Twit? If I remember my Monty
Python, doesn't that refer to all those effeminate, mildly retarded
sons of the British upper class? That would come closer to you, now,
wouldn't it? Why don't you tell me to 'Naff off? That'll do me up right
and proper. Ehh, what?

No more later. Yur making my sides hurt.

Hmm. So was the Alberta comment to keep stalkers away from Bob I?
Works for me. I wasn't aware that there was a city in the province of
Manitoba that shared the name of the province that I was referring to.
I stand corrected.

You've moved off topic. We were discussing admitting to mistakes.

OK, good plan, let's stay on topic. I wonder why Bill Gates and
Microsoft have not admitted to the huge mistake Windows is yet?

Because stockholders don't like to hear about mistakes, and hold on
those stocks!

Perhaps because Bill Gates, Microsoft and the world as a whole are
not of the same opinion as you!

The whole ideal is *not* to make consumers feel bad about their purchasing
choice, but rather the opposite. The Hon. Sir. understands that, as does
Microsoft (marketing especially).

Depending on the time of day or whatever, googling "remove Internet

at Microsoft will think that that's an insignificant number, but many

99% of people use PCs to surf. Their OS provides this ability.

at Microsoft will think that that's an insignificant number, but many
people involved in public relations will tell you that for every one
person that gets frustrated and takes action, there are dozens that
simply suffer in silence. Again maybe 10 or 20 times 200,000 is
insignificant to MS. I'd be willing to bet that at some point in time
the number of people that understand that MS's policy of throwing
everything and the kitchen sink into the "Operating System" is a bad
idea will reach a critical mass.

At that time, or some time before then, will MS begin to listen to
their customers?

Come on, guys, you know it's a bad idea, too. Take a leaf from
President Bush's new book. Admit it when you make a mistake.

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!
