Can Level 1 Attachments be opened directly from Outlook 2003?

Does anyone know if it is possible to open level 1 { .EXE } files direcetly
from outlook 2003 without having to save them to disk first after putting the
level1 remove registry key in to allow them to even be viewed ?

Cheers

No, they become Level 2 attachments which are visible but must be saved to
the file system to be opened. If you are on Exchange the server side
security form can remove from Level 2 to make them unrestricted on a global
basis but no decent admin would do that with EXE files anyway.

Cheers the customer has a legacy application that emails scans to users in
..exe format I did not think that they could be opened directly. I have no
intention of removing the exchange security.

Thanks

That's only possible in Outlook 2000 by setting the registry value
"RemoveWarningFileTypes", but not any longer in Outlook 2002/2003.
