*gasp!*

Where can I get such a mythological device? I'd gladly pay *twice* that
for such a device! I've never found even the mere existence of a
dial-up router, let alone for such a low price!

But, the price is over $400 - yes?

So usually one gets two pieces of gear, an older router
which has serial support ~ $50 and an external serial modem,
~ $40. If you're willing to brave ebay they might cost even
less.

If only you'd spoke to me before you went to all that trouble :) The dlink
DI804V does both broadband and dialup and was probably $40US when it was
available. Second hand it should be much cheaper. I'm sure there's other
devices with this mythical feature :)

I own an older SMC Barricade SMC7004BR router and it has that
capability. It also includes a built in printer server (not USB).
Normally I run a cable modem connection, but I switched to our sons
dialup ISP when our daughter needed internet access for school work
and the cable ISP was down.
