Can I transfer Outlook Express address book to Office Outlook?

G

gordonj

I want to be able to transfer my address book from a Windows XP Professional
PC to Office Outlook (email) on my laptop. The lap top being Windows Vista
Premium Home edition. This means (if it is possible) that I shall have to
export the address book to a CD or memory stick; then import from that stick
into the Office Outlook program. But reading the Office Outlook help pages I
cannot find any provision for this. Most grateful for any help. Regards all

Make a copy of your OE address book file (.WAB) and take that to your Vista
machine. You should be able to go to 'File|Import and Export|Import
Internet mail and Addresses' and import this file. Be sure to UNcheck
"Import Mail". Should this fail, you can import the .WAB file into Windows
Mail and export it to Outlook from there.
