Can i remove folder ?

On my laptop with XP Home i have a folder on the C drive i don't remember
being there before.
The folder name is
66fa166f5b1092c4b5a9adc890c96a
Can i delete it ?

I googled it & got nothing.

I googled it & got nothing.
I get those too. I've found on my system they are a random folder
created for an installation. Something like the results of a self
extracting zip file. But as has been said, you need to poke into it
a bit.

Folders with long alphanumerical names are almost always left by Microsoft
Updates usually when the installation goes somewhat awry and does not, for
some reason, clean up after itself. You can defiantly delete it.
