Can I reinstall and partition as I like?

I'd like to completely wipe everything out and start from scratch. Delete
the two 2 gig partitions on my drive, make one more like 3 gigs and one of
them 1 gig so I don't have to try moving files back and forth to make things
work.

Can I do this? I only went through the installer that one time and don't
remember if i ever had that option. It is Windows XP Home Edition.

Thank you for replies.

Hard drives nowadays are 200, 300, etc Gb drives - why are you partitioning
into measly 1 or 2 Gb partitions? Which are hardly big enought to do much of
anything.

But, yes, you can boot from the XP CD and repartition the drive to sizes you
deem more appropriate. (Actually, I'd just make one partiton using the whole
drive.)

because I don't have the money this week to go out and buy that much memory.
I have a mac thats older than hills that only has 4 gigs, and I usually can
keep quite a bit of that free. If I'm going to make one partition I'll just
use the whole damn thing and yeah... This computer is mostly just for
internet anyway.

Thank you very much for the straightforward reply though. I'll see what i
can figure out.

There is a difference between memory and Hard drive space......your reply
makes it seem you do not know the difference.
RAM is memory........256...512...1024...mb's or 1gb (1024mb) depending upon
the slots available.
Hard drives are also measured in mb or gb.......but this is where the
files/Operating System is actually written to.
if you go here....you can look up the definitions and see examples of both
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page

if you have a 4gb HD that is small by todays standards and I would suggest
you do not partition it.
