Can I really automate a Word template?

Wordperfect trumps Word hands down in automating a document. In WP a
customizable popup window allows me to lookup a name & address (in
addressbook), add other options, like subject(reference). Using this info
populates a form (letter, fax, transmittal, etc) with the mailing address,
salutation, subject.... Leaving me with typing a message and printing. Can
Word do this? If so, how?
Is it possible for a limited experience programmer?
Thanks.

A UserForm can do the same thing in Word. For an idea of how this would
work, try using Word's built-in Letter Wizard.

I've been there and done that in a template(two thumbs up); will it work in a
userform?
Thanks.

Letter wizard works well (but a little complicated). I'll try the userforms.
Is there a secret to extracting info in Contacts? Thanks.
