Can I limit ip address range from DHCP server ?

I have several workstations using DHCP. These workstations can get a
subnet range between 192.85.202.xxx through 192.85.289.xxx (a very
large range). I would like to know if there is a way to configure my
workstation to use the same DHCP server but only get a limited range
of ip addresses such as 192.85.202.10 - 192.85.202.100 ?

The reason I need this is because the workstations are used to access
a development environment that is firewalled off. The security group
will not open the firewall to the full range of ip segments. Any help
would be appreciated. Thanks

Why not use a static IP address?

Looking into that. However, there is a two week lead time just to look
at a request. I was hoping for a quicker fix.

I'm sorry, but I don't know of a way to configure your workstation to
restrict its IP address range.

The addresses that you listed are public IP addresses. Were they
specifically assigned to your company by an Internet authority? If
not, the company shouldn't be using them, and using them might block
your access to some Internet sites.

The IP address ranges reserved for private networks are:

10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255
172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255
192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255

Hi
I do not think that there is any thing "Kosher" that you can do on your
workstation.
Changing the DHCP range assignment is Up to the DHCP server. Static IP
might not work, since many DHCP server would not allow an assignment of
static IP within the DHCP range.
There is Not enough information about the makeup of the Network to consider
better (None trial and error) answer.
