Can I include email messages in the journal?

I consider my email as a subset of my correspondence journal with my
contacts? If I want to track my correspondence with a particular contact, I
have to switch back and forth, under the Activities tab, between email and
journal, under which I journal my phone and face-to-face conversations. It
would make my life easier if I could see both types of correspondence in the
same list. Is there an easy way to do this?
