Can I get rid of these "strange" folders?

R

Rick

Windows XP SP1 installed on C drive

While installing some XP updates some folders where created on drive D (I'm
including the subfolders as well):

3c78ae6c5f679871fb69ade4ac \ sp2 (Access denied)
5d3 \ sp2 (Access denied)
7b470429babadf05cf7d5633 \ sp2 \ update \ update.exe
17aa218 \ sp2 (Access denied)
6248a6da63f5f772a898849fe6eeefa9 \ sp2 \ update \ update.exe
ee24dc433bb7ae385 \ sp2 \ update \ update.exe
msdownld.tmp

My question is: Can I safely delete these folders.

Hi Rick,

Yes, you can get rid of the folders, they are temporal folders created
during the update.

Good luck
