Can I create a style that excludes autocorrections?

I'd like to create a style in Word 2007 without autocorrections. Is that
possible?

For instance a style for program code snipets in the document that should
only be literally inserted, not corrected, capitalized, spell checked, etc.
This would be similar to the <PRE> tag in HTML. I do want the autocorrection
features for the rest of the document. I know I can turn off spell check for
a given style. Can I turn off autocorrections/autoformats as well?

As you've seen, formatting the text as "Do not check spelling or grammar"
unfortunately does not make it immune to AutoCorrect or AutoFormat As You
Type. You would just have to turn those features off temporarily.
