Can I Add Same Note in the Details Field to Large # of Contacts?

Can I add the same note in the details field to a large number of Outlook
contacts without opening each individual contact? To put this into context,
one of my customers was acquired by another customer. I want to make a note
in the details field of all of my contacts who came from the company that got
acquired saying, "Formerly with ACME Computer". I would like to do this via a
macro command verses opening each recording individually and jotting down
this information. Can this be done? Thank you!

It's not a macro but I know a way that's fairly fast - it depends a bit on
how many a large number is!

Turn on the Advanced Toolbar.
Go to the Contacts Folder.
Change to By Company View. The Current View window will enable you to do
that.
Turn on the Field Chooser (2 buttons to the right of the Current View
Window)
Find the Notes field on the Field Chooser and drag it up to sit beside the
other fields you are already showing eg Company.
Write the note you want and crtl paste it in to the Notes field for each
entry.
You may need to turn on in line editing (located at Customise Current View -
there's a check box)

Please keep posts in the newsgroup so all readers can benefit.

Your problem is that you have not turned on inline editing. I suggested that
you would probably have to do so to be able to paste into the Notes field.
