Can any XP Recovery CD be used on any XP PC - lsass.exe problem

Where I work they have three Packard Bells PC (with XP home edition).
All the documentation and CD's and gone walkabout or have been thrown
out.

One PC has gone into a re-boot loop with a box coming up with
'lsass.exe System error'. I understand the Recovery CD that came
with the PC may be able to slove the problem.

My question is can any XP recovery CD do the job? Is each Recovery CD
matched to its PC or XP version?

They have a few new DELLS (with XP Pro) with Recovery CD's. Would
there CD's work?

No;
At the very least they need to be Packard Bell CDs.
You need to locate the CDs or buy Windows XP again.

Greetings --

You would need to use a Recovery CD designed for the specific Make
and Model of computer.

I was reading on the Microsoft site yesterday that you can't use XP Home Edition disks with XP Pro or the other way around.
