Camera and scanner wizard question.

Right click on your camera listed as a removable drive.
Click on Properties and Autoplay.
Change "Prompt me" to Select action and click on the action you want. This
will leave a single action in the wizard.

I tried but it did not clear the drop down list in wizard. The one that says
type a name for the group of pictures...............

I think we are talking about two different wizards.
My info concerns the XP camera Autoplay window (also described as the camera
wizard).
You must be using some other software to download the picture is you are
getting "name ...." in a particular wizard.

I am running xp professional. When I insert my memory card into the reader
windows camera and scanner wizard comes up. This is where my issue is.

Yes, the windows of the camera and scanner comes up.
You have a list of selections in this window. Which selection do you click
on?

I click on copy pictures to my computer using windows scanner and camera
wizard. After I select the photos (in wizard) and click next wizard ask me
to type a name for the group of pictures. This is where I have the issue.
The drop down box lists all the previous names. I wish to clear this box.

I think this is as far as I can go.
This is the Microsoft procedure and I don't know anything else to substitute

=============================
The following freebie has options to
clear MRUs in Windows Explorer...
I do not know if it will work in the instance
you describe but it may be worth a try.
