Why does my webcam work in Windows Messenger (for XP version 4.7) but
not in MSN Messenger (version 6.1)?
When i set it up in MSN Messenger through the audio and video wizard I
can select it and see the image. But then when i want to use it it
says it is not connected. In Windows Messenger it works flawlessly.
Why? What are the differences between Windows Messenger and MSN
Messenger?

Greetings Flipper,

MSN Messenger 6.1 actually supports two different types of video functionality -- the
'Webcam' and 'Video Conference'. The 'Video Conference' option is the same video function
that is within Windows Messenger (and what is tested when you go through the Audio/Video
Tuning Wizard). As such, instead of clicking 'Webcam' in MSN Messenger 6, click the Actions
menu in any conversation window and choose 'Start Video Conference'. Please note that in
order for the Video Conference feature to work, both sides must be using Windows XP.
