Call of Duty problems

I have a 1.2 athlon, onboard sound, iWill KA266 mb, 9700 Pro, 512 2100 DDR.
I'm using the newest Omega drivers. I have no AA, 8x AF.

The demos ran perfectly for me. bodies were set to medium, and all details
set to high. I was using 3.7's.

I have formatted, and using newer drivers. Bodies set to small ammount this
time, but everything else is still set to high.

My problem is i'm getting a smooth fps if i'm not turning around much. If
i'm running straight and not turning much, it's going at around 60 fps(i
always have vsync on). But if i am turning a lot, it is jerky and pauses
briefly, studders.. not like a lower fps, but just one big studder at a
time.
Also, the game is crashing so bad i have to restart my pc when it does. I
have tried playing with VPU recovery off, and on. Same thing happens either
way. Surely 512DDR and 128 vid ram is enough for this game right? What could
it be?

I have no problems on my 9700pro with a 2.8g p4 and a gig of ddr333, even
with 4x fsaa and 4x ansio on similiar settings with 3.7 cats.
I dont know what fps i am getting though, whats the console command?

Mike B, turn off Fast Writes in the ATI control panel under smartgart. That
should solve the crashing, it did for me.

Make sure that under the Performance Menu your character detail is set to
High and not Maximum. I was getting bad frame stutter under Maximum. I'm
using Cat 3.8 and the game would lockup on me till I turned off Fast Writes
and now it's running real smooth at 1280x1024, 4xAA / 16XAF.
