Calendar year changes

I have a user who's calendar year will jump to 2206 every 2 or 3 weeks. The
day of the week and the time are correct but the year changes to 2206. I can
reset it by going into the date and time through Windows and changing the
year back to 2006. I have changed the CMOS battery thinking that was the
problem but the problem continues.

Boot into the BIOS to check the date, make sure it is the same.

This may be on the wrong track, but the original install date may have the
wrong year, and is feeding back.

Look for the original install date as follows:

On the Start - Run line type REGEDIT,
Click Edit at the top and click Find,
type - InstallProperties and click Find next,

on the right side look for Installdate.
the numbers are Year, Month and Date

If the date is wrong you can change it by highlighting Installdate, then
click Edit at the top and select Modify.

Back out and Reboot

My guess is that the computer is connected to a network and it is time
sync-ing periodically to another computer on the network that has an
incorrect year setting. You might want to specify a computer to be
used for time syncing. For more info:
