calendar updates from XP users with reminder

I am the Controller for a small company (approx. 15 computer users). Some
users have Windows 2000 with Outlook 2000 for e-mail; others (laptops) have
Windows XP with Outlook 2002 for e-mail.

When an XP user sends a calendar update (either by "forwarding" or
"forwarding as icalendar" to a non-XP user, the message is garbled (when
forwarded), or the calendar item is unable to be opened/saved by recipient
(forward as icalendar).

Are there any settings I can change, or downloads available for either the
XP or 2000 user?

It's a bug and it's caused by the reminder. The Office XP users will have to
send the icalendar items to the Office 2000 users without the reminder
enabled so they'll be received properly.

Yes, that's what they're currently doing (sending w/o reminders), but then
they have to go in and set the reminder for their own calendar. So I guess
you're telling me there's no way to remedy this until Microsoft works out the
bug?

Unfortunately, that is correct.

Thank you -- I appreciate your help.

One other question -- Do you know if these postings are reviewed by anyone
at Microsoft, or is there any way to GET this "bug notice" to someone at
Microsoft so it ??maybe?? can be corrected?

Thanks again.

If you post through the MS Office communities website at
http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx, you can choose
the "Suggestion for Microsoft" option when creating a new post. Microsoft
does review all suggestions made in this manner.
