Calendar Task Reminders are Late

When using the built-in Windows Calendar in Vista, you can of course set
task reminders for appointments and such. My question is why are they so
random? I set a task reminder for 0 minutes and it pops up sometimes one
minute after, sometimes three or four, saying it's overdue by that many
minutes. Why can it never pop up the reminder at the exact time the reminder
is set for? If I set it to go off at 15:00, why can't it actually go off
right at that time? This has always bugged me, it was the same way in all
the Outlook versions I ever used.

Vista is a very busy operating system. It needs to be since it's such a
large program with so many different things to do. Just quit complaining
already!!!! Vista is great! I love Vista. I'm so glad that I spent hundreds
of dollars upgrading my system and buying Vista.

Cheers,

Click File > Options > under Task, make sure the Remind time is set at
specified time of the day you want to see them notify you.

Don't repeat as an instruction something that the person has said that they
have already done. DON'T YOU READ?

what happens with the time for the notify if you do not run anything but let the computer sit quiet and idle till the time is supposed to occur.

it is entirely possible that due to scheduling and priority the calendar is being delayed because of system activity.

Where in what you quoted does the user say he did what was suggested.

If something is going wrong it is always a good idea to go back and check that
what you input is actually there.
